Route for Saturday, September 24, 2011 Lets do the bike
path. There's a couple of us slowpokes
heading out earlier than 8am but we'll see you out there
somewhere!
Left out of The Edge Follow Wayland to the end Right onto E George Street Left onto Gano Follow Gano to the Pedestrian Bridge (Just after you pass under the overpass, turn right, there's a set of stair or a ramp up onto the bridge) Follow the bridge to the end, down the hill and across the street onto First Street Follow to Veterans Memorial Parkway, and the bike path begins on the right. Out and back to the Dairy Bee is 10 miles (just past here is a convenience store thats been pretty good with letting runners buying a water use the restroom!) Out and back to Haines Memorial Park (big park on the right on the way out) is 13 miles **There's also public restrooms about 150 yards off the path, to the right at Haines. You can see it from the bike path, right near a park parking lot. Not sure if they're open this time of the year. Out and back to Bicknell Park (on your left on the way out) is 14.59. Not that you need any additional incentive to run with the club on Saturdays, but the Vegan Pumpkin muffins there are delicious! Check 'em out, but only after you finish your Saturday run! |
